Hello, I’m Tara — ukulele musician, performer & teacher.
I’m a South West London–based musician offering performances, workshops, and 1-to-1 ukulele and piano lessons for people of all ages. I’m passionate about making music accessible, joyful, and confidence-building.
Alongside my work as a performer and educator, I founded and run The Ukulele Project, a not-for-profit organisation focused on wellbeing, connection and community through music.

🎶 About Me
Music has always been a huge part of my life, not just as a creative outlet but as a vital tool for my own wellbeing. I’ve used music throughout my life to support my mental health — to find calm, build confidence, express emotions, and reconnect with myself when things feel overwhelming. That personal experience is a big part of why I teach the way I do.
I’m passionate about the therapeutic power of music and deeply believe in its ability to lift people up, reduce stress, and create meaningful connection. While I’m not a clinical music therapist, I bring a gentle, therapeutic-informed approach to my teaching, workshops and group sessions. My goal is always to create a space where people feel safe, supported, encouraged and able to experience the joy and comfort that music can bring.
Music should feel joyful, accessible and empowering — and that’s what I bring to every session.
